Renovate 918, LLC signed our first contract in July of 2014. We've been in business over 6 years.
Every project is unique and costs can vary widely between contractors. You should always get a few estimates from reputable builders and ensure they are licensed and insured before accepting offers.
A reputable contractor will almost certainly avoid providing estimates over the phone, and you should consider it a 'red flag' should they.
Also, depending on the scope of your project, you may not get an estimate the day of visiting with a reputable contractor. Complex projects may require time and calculation to provide the most accurate project cost.

Maybe. Building inspections are generally mandated by local ordinance and are typically dependent on the scope of work on "restricted" property.
Code compliance can be a difficult topic to navigate and without industry knowledge and experience, you're likely to find more questions than answers. Even homeowners on "unrestricted" property can find themselves under unexpected code enforcement and penalties can be high.
Rest assured, if your project requires inspection, we will meet or exceed code to ensure a safe and healthy home for you, your family, and any future occupants, which is the intent of compliance.
